Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS) Training
Owner Jeffrey D. Cox attended IADS (XML authoring software) training in the Sparkman Center,
Redstone Arsenal, AL, from March 20 to 23, 2007.
Graphics Workshop
Owner Jeffrey D. Cox attended a graphics workshop hosted by the Society for Technical
Communication on November 18, 2006, at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. The
workshop focused on maximizing Word and PhotoShop skills.
NASA Source Evaluation Board (SEB) Training
SEB training was held in building 500 at Intergraph Corporation, Huntsville, AL, from October 30
to November 2, 2006. The training was conducted by Connie Pool, a former procurement
manager at Johnson Space Flight Center, and Hamp Wilson, former director of procurement at
Marshall Space Flight Center.

proposals from contractors. Among the exercises I participated in were:

- Evaluating mission suitability, cost and past performance factors and subfactors
- Identifying and rating key risks in a statement of work (SOW)
- Performing an initial evaluation, including filling out reviewer evaluation worksheets to
address proposal documents
- Evaluating and adjusting probable costs by comparing government and contractor
estimates
- Final proposal revision, including preparing questions for contractors
